Jingle's Live Reassurance Calls
Began with a Group of Volunteers
Friendly
Jingle’s daily live reassurance calls for seniors
was started by a group of hard working volunteers, way
back in 1987. We spent hours visiting and calling on the
aging and elderly in our spare time.
The
more we worked with the elderly, sick and people stuck
in their homes and lonely, the more we wanted to do for
them. We recognized the need for a human connection on
a daily regular basis....someone to just call to say,
"Hi, how are you today." To discuss their favorite
television program. To talk about their kids and grand-children.
To just comment on the weather.
Loneliness
is a terrible thing. And often these folks spoke to their
children or friends, a few times a week. But, they were
terribly afraid that if something happened to them, no
one would know for a few days perhaps.
They
just wanted a friend to call them every day to keep in
touch. They didn't need a medical device, just a reliable
connection. A reason to get up every day. Someone to look
forward to for consistency and in case of an emergency.

call your home phone
Recognizing
the need for consistent care and frustrated with the high
turnover rate and shortage of volunteers, the group opted
to charge a nominal fee that enabled them to hire full-time
care-callers, ensuring that the elderly and homebound
will receive a phone call - every day of the year –
guaranteed.

We
decided to create a company called "Friendly Jingle"
to make these calls to aging parents and loved ones. We
charge a slight monthly fee. This enables us to offer
a consistent and reliable call, every day.
Friendly
Jingle has developed a professional group of care callers
that call seniors on a consistent basis to give you and
your loved one a sense of security, friendship, peace
of mind, comfort and a call you can count on. |
